Criminal Defense

It can be intimidating and frustrating to be charged with a criminal offense.  The government has all of the resources, power and can be uncaring and even cruel in their lack of concern for achieving true justice in its quest for a conviction at all costs.  You have the right to defend yourself.  Sometimes, there could be technical defenses to your case, other times there could be a creative resolution that allow you to have a say in the outcome of your case in a way that works for both you and the government attorney. Carla V. Risoldi is a former Bucks County Assistant District Attorney and has been a criminal defense attorney since 1994.  Ms. Risoldi knows the criminal process from every angle and fights for her clients.

Juvenile Court

Probation, Consent Decrees, Delinquency, Consent Decree,  Expungements, Underage Drinking Offenses

Juvenile Court is a process whereby minor defendants are rehabilitated so that they will become productive adult members of the community.  While this is a laudable goal, if your child is charged with what would be considered a crime if committed by an adult, there can be consequences including incarceration, driver's license suspensions and that the "adjudication of delinquency", which is similar to and different from an adult-court conviction and which may count as a prior offense if the minor later commits a crime as an adult.  It is important to get legal advice to properly navigate the juvenile court and probation system.

Many different situations can lead to driver's license suspensions or revocations, from driving under the influence , refusing chemical testing, or reckless driving to accumulation of points or collateral consequences for drug offenses, underage drinking, etc.  If possible, you should consult with an experienced attorney immediately after receiving a suspension notice as appeal remedies can be time-sensitive. Sometimes a suspension or revocation can be avoided entirely or shortened,  back credit obtained or the license can be restored. It is always a good idea to consult with an experienced attorney to see if anything can be done to help you get your driving privileges restored.
